Enbond Kit

Enbond Gastro kit contains n-butly-2-cyanoacrylate,a medical grade Bio-adhesive.
Cyanoacrylate are derivatives of acrylic acid. n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate is liquid in its monomer form and polymerises quickly as it come into contact with water or body moisture.
Enbond adhesive polymerizes through an exothermic reaction in which a small amount of heat is released. With the proper technique of applying enbond adhesive in multiple thin layers(at least three) onto a dry wound and allowing time for polymerization between application heat is released slowly and the sensation of heat or pain experienced by the patient is minimized. However, if Enbond adhesive is applied so that large droplets of liquid are allowed to remain unspread, the patient may experience sensation of heat or discomfort.

Nectar Laboratories Private Limited is the pioneer in the field of human bio-adhesives having developed and introduced the bio-adhesive n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate for the first time in the country.
As per the published papers and information available.n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (BCA) is mainly used in the endoscopic control of upper gastrointestinal tract bleeding from oesophageal varices, gastric varices, duodenal varices, dieulafoy’s ulcer and duodenal ulcer. Even transcatheter embolisation of splenic artery and left gastric artery with BCA has been tried effectively in control of variceal bleed. Emboliasation of hepatic artery with BCA has been shown to be effective in the treatment of hemobilia. Trachea-oesophageal fistulae and billiocutaneous fistulae have been treated by injection of n-butyl-2- cyanoacrylate in the fistulous tract thus avoiding a major surgery.
